Review of The Beau Defeated
“Hysterical, Slick, Sexy, Scandalous, Superb” by Anna De Matteo
Opening night is always a testing time for a production, will it live up to the hype? I was very pleased to say that this did exactly what it said on the tin.
This is one of the best fringe productions I have seen in years!. Its entertaining from start to finish!
This is a fantastic adaptation of a restoration comedy that has been brought bang up to date. This is what a show is all about, entertainment. If you don’t roar out laughing, you’re heart is made of stone!.
The language is beautiful and so are the characters. Its a rollercoaster ride of what happens to people who have been tainted with celebrity. Lots of twists and turns to keep you glued to the story and some very sexy dancing from Sir John!!
Even in the bar afterwards, people were talking about it with enthusiasm. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!
